      Apple shareholders suing officers and directors of the company regarding alleged backdated options filed an amended complaint in San Jose federal court last week adding four additional instances.

      Apple released a fix for MacBook and MacBook Pro users running Leopard who have experienced intermittent keyboard input issues. The update, for users running Mac OS X 10.5.1, corrects a rare bug that would leave a keyboard inexplicably unresponsive, sometimes for extended periods of time.

    +Apple revs QuickTime, GarageBand
      Apple released QuickTime 7.3.1 and GarageBand 4.1.1 Thursday evening, and also delivered a Java update for Tiger users.

    +List: Apple retail stores announced for fiscal '08
      With the opening of a posh new store on W. 14th St. in New York on Friday, Apple has opened the doors of seven new retail stores since its fiscal year 2008 started on September 30. Apple's jobs posting pages disclose that the company is recruiting employees for future retail stores at a number of other locations.
